ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO
AR201 studio is an architectural studio aiming to increase the recognition of the Izmir High Technology Institute by the people of Urla, located in the Urla district of Izmir. The basic concept in our studio is the word "Outreach". We asked ourselves, whatever should we do to increase the recognition of our university by the people of urla. What facilities can we use at our university to do this? How can the spaces required by an architectural studio be designed with the concept of "outreach"? What types of spaces will be needed?
First, let's see the site.
My suggestion to increase Iztech's recognition is that we should allow the people of Urla to come their ideas true. This will both interest them and benefit the school. The university currently has an incubation center, but since this center is on the school campus and appeals to students and academics only, the local people are not aware of real projects and have reservations about using them. On the land given within the scope of AR201 studio, I am preparing an incubator center that aims to provide places for the people of Urla to use and where Iztech students can help and develop these ideas.
